Biography
Riccardo “Sammo” Casagrande, was born in Conegliano in 1978. Since he was very young, he devoted himself to painting and sculpture. In 1997 he graduated from the artistic high school in Treviso. Parallel to painting and sculpture comes an ever-growing passion in music that will lead him to experiment in different formations and playing various instruments.
Between 2000 and 2005 he began working as a musician / performer in the theater and thanks to this experience he began to merge musical research, recycling of materials and visual arts, developing several SOUND INSTALLATIONS. The passion for travel will take him several times to India and is just back from one of these trips that in 2007 will give life to one of his most original and award-winning artistic projects; WATER HARPS. There are several critics' awards and exhibitions in which he participated as the first prize and "like" "Bi-green" award in Nuoro, at the open designer at leipzig and the Echt Alt exhibition at the Kunstkraftwerk with the SCART group and which collaborates in various exhibitions.
