Biography
Through a Frankensteinian process that borrows aspects of
painting, relief sculpture, and embroidery, I create textured
objects that teeter between their previous lives and their imminent ones. I shape collected materials to resemble an amalgam of natural phenomena like threadbare pelts, plumage, and wood grains. My recent series of lush wall hangings have the same visual energy and spawn the same spiritual relationship I share with ancient relics. These pieces serve as breaks from reality- meditative portals meant to summon sensations, reveries, and emotions.
