Biography

Art is for me a form of self-reflection, providing an opportunity to unfold the secrets that I keep even from myself. I work primarily in oil, but a variety of other media including drawing, sculpture, photography and printmaking help keep me fulfilled as an artist. Landscapes tend to be the focus of much of my work; they allow me a great deal of expression and exploration emotionally and materially, and I am captivated by the feeling of timelessness that they hold for me. Color is one of my greatest delights in art-making, and this is reflected in my palette, which consists of a wide array of rich but nuanced colors. My body of work is like a visual autobiography which is probably a more truthful representation of who I am than you could find anywhere else.
