Biography

Elizabeth, a native of the Boston area, was introduced to photography in high school at Noble and Greenough and immediately caught the “bug” and went on to graduate with a the Bramhall-Bridge Purchase Award in Art. She graduated Cum Laude with a BA Thesis in Fine Art at Amherst College and completed her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in 2010. While in graduate school, she began her thesis project, Libert & Company, which documents her own family. Photographs from Libert & Company have been exhibited in group shows nationally, including at the Michael Foley Gallery in New York City and Boston University’s Photographic Resource Center. Her first solo show was in 2012 at NESOP (New England School of Photography) in Boston.

Elizabeth was named a Photo District News Annual Student Winner and a Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Emerging Photographer, and her work has been featured in blogs such as the New Yorker Photobooth, Little Bellows, Hey Hot Shot!, Lenscratch, and LPV Magazine, and will be published in Peter Hay Halbert’s upcoming book, Identities Now – Contemporary Portraiture in Photography.
