Biography

My practice revolves around my deep interest in my surroundings and all their aspects: sensorial, visual, material, emotional. As an urban animal I like exploring the transitions between and convergences of man-made and natural characteristics of my habitat, in all its scales.

The attempt to identify and "understand" the emotional and sensorial interactions between myself (social and physical being) and that which is around me (living and non-living) is what drives my research and work.

Photography is usually the starting point for all my art work, but I am constantly trying to break free from the "reality" boundary commonly associated with this medium, testing the limits between the pictorial and the abstract and playing with perception.

Recently though, I've been leaning more and more towards performance, as it is the art form that allows me to combine acting, political/social activism and journalistic background.
