Biography

After a debut linked to painting, with particular attention to material informal and Abstract Expressionism, Alessandro Lonzardi (Cervia, Italy1964) directs his research on light and ways of representing it using digital technology. Drawing inspiration from the great artists of the twentieth century who used photography to obtain abstract works, such as Christian Shad, Man Ray or Barbara Morgan, Lonzardi elaborates its own expressive code, where the color, with its mysterious charm and the innumerable tonal shades, is through a story that sees ideas, intentions and emotions materialize in the body of the work. Once the limits of form have been overcome, reality becomes a free and harmonious flow of color and light, in which the imagination willingly gets lost to experiment with new and unknown perceptual dimensions.
