Biography
Born in Cassano Magnago, Varese, Italy on February 20th, 1960. Ceramist, painter and Studio Glass Maker starts to exhibit his work at the end of the seventies while he was still studying at the Art Institute “G. Ballardini” in Faenza. He attended the Painting Section at the Fine Art Academy in Bologna. He has given workshops at the Department of Ceramic Art at the Seoul National University of Technology in Korea, won the Award in Excellency at the Mopko International Ceramic Competition in Korea in 2000 and the “innovation” award at Lodifaceramica in March 2012. He has been recently awarded at the "ArteLagunaPrize" with the Special Prize “OPEN”
Showing a restless streak and a penchant for pop and humorous creations, he often designed his works as parts of an installation or setting. Among the most important installation works: "Meteorite 19189" for "8 variations for Stradivari", Civic Museum, Ala Ponzone, Cremona, "83 Escaping ghosts", "52nd Ceramic Exhibition of Castellamonte" in 2012 and "Urban ghosts" during the International Design week in Milano in 2010.
