Biography
The artistic universe created by Piaia, painter and sculpor, represents a unique fusion of languages and currents, a swirl of colors and shapes which converge smoothly and seamlessly bringing together abstraction, figuration and classic surrealism. This is his signature style - very personal - that the same Piaia baptized with the term ‘Assurfivo’, summing up in one word, the concepts of abstract, surreal and figurative: with this definition, the artist immediately expressed the varied aspects of his personality and his artistic research, which, on one big stage shows young women, portraits: It manages to capture the essence of expression of the people in both the canvas in marble or bronze - the silent nature of flowers and hyper realistic crystals, images drawn from sacred art, complex allegories.. all the while characterized by real slashes of color - green, yellow, blue, red - representing the refraction of the light spectrum.
