Biography

Alessandro Romeo was born in Messina in 1977 and began his artistic preference for press photography and reportage. Since 2012 he joined the editorial staff of "I Siciliani gioveni" and "I Cordai", publishing stories in images and collaborating as Photo Editor and for the organization of courses of journalistic photography. From the same year is also Director of Photography for the television program UrbanWeek in Catania, where he lives and works. In 2013 wins: the first edition of Young Factory, prize for emerging artists in the contemporary art fair Art Factory 03, the national photographic competition ANCE|Catania Urban Landscapes, and exposes for the first time abroad, in Budapest, in the exhibition 'La Grande Migration', curated by art historian Delia Vekony. In 2014, with the project 'Synesthesia of Memory' exhibited at Art Factory 04 in a dedicated stand, and won first place in the category 'Fine Art - Landscape' and 'Nature - Landscape' at the PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris 2014.
