Biography
Marina Vlassi Anta was born in Ekaterinburg, Russia. She developed a love for art in her early childhood. As a little girl she begged her parents to enroll her in the art academy but the family could not afford to do so. Nevertheless Marina's first art exhibition happened when she was only 9 years of age at the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Natural History.
Marina graduated from the Ural State University history and art department. She has traveled extensively and previously lived in Greece, England and Turkey. Currently resides in Virginia and has professionally created art or the past 4 years. Semi-Abstract is one of her main styles.
"Art for me is mainly a product of human emotions, forms are secondary. I don't strive for realism."
