Biography

Logan Moody hails from a small town in New Zealand, but is now living and working in Melbourne, Australia.

Moody started painting stencils in a run down back shed in the worst flat in Auckland back in 2007, later moving into a nicer flat, where he painted under the house.

In 2008 Moody held a sell out, solo exhibition at the Growroom Gallery in Auckland. And then after Moving to Melbourne in 2009, he exhibited as part of the Melbourne Stencil Festival. Since then, he has now shown his work in numerous shows, including being selected as a finalist in the 2012 Australian Stencil Art Prize.

The focus of his work is firmly based in the ideas of street culture and the urban environment we live in. Spending a large amount of his free time walking the streets and alleys of Melbourne photographing those surroundings for his stencil work.

During his time taking photos in the streets of Melbourne, Moody discovered he had collected a large amount of hanging sneaker pictures. He has gathered these photos together into a photo book capturing what he calls "Melbourne Sole".
