Biography
ANAM TURCO (literally "unnamed")
My name is inspired by a story by writer journalist Tiziano Terzani and in his honor I chose the name Anam, in order to better interpret a 'need to free artistic expression in painting without affecting the hypothetical observer of my works.
Born in Acquaviva delle Fonti in a very hot month of '76, I approached, for fun, to the world of design already in late childhood. My works were initially simple monochrome pencil drawings, using only combinations of two non-colors (black and white) and switch between them using the infinite nuances. I thought this applied also to the world of tattoos, going so far as to impose on the choice of monochrome drawings tattooed.
Following the continuous desire to accrescermi spiritually and professionally led me to experiment with the use of oil paints, with an in-depth technical and perfected by knowledge, in 2010, by the master painter Francesco Zefferino hyper-realistic, thanks to which I knew the technique of grisaille, already widely used by great masters such as Giotto, Leonardo, Correggio, Caravaggio and Rubens Flemish painters among them, which is intended to define light, shade, volume and depth using a single color scheme, gray, which are varied shades, gradations, combinations, thus determining the structure of the painting.
Most of my paintings are united by touches of red symbol of the spirit and everything that can have a soul such as the red of the blood flowing in the body of the living, the red of fire that burns with intensity, the red sunset that makes suggestive gaze towards the horizon, the red of emotions, embarrassment.
