Biography
Raquel Hernandez Verdú, born September 18, 1984 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Graduated from the College of Fine Arts at ULL.
Settled in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, beginning his meticulous anthropological study founded under the direct influence of Queer theory, which arises from the idea of the intellectual faculties of the human being part of their biological heritage,
but the result of a multiplicity of processes of socialization.
His work shows a wide representation which emphasizes multidisciplinary with its strongest photographic series "Mr.Ladies" using the female body as creating visual media direct language with the audience, bringing fore the double condition of the body as object and subject.
On the one hand is the subjectivity producing mechanism, and the other is an object of sexual pleasure.
The play brings out exploring contemporary forms of sexuality
as a means of emancipation from social conditioning. For this, the body becomes mere flesh, soma, sensuality device. on
orgasm, and in death, our being is overlapped on one moment of pleasure, are the intensity and vibration of the moment, the last breath, the last frontier.
