Biography

Vincenzo Vavuso was born in Caserta in 1972, after completing his studies he decided to transfer to Salerno, a strategic place where to concentrate his moods and states of mind. In his study, a short distance from the sea, he isolates himself from contemporaneous chaos to create his works. Works that trace a fundamental course in his artistic evolution.
Although he had started with figurative painting, at a certain stage of his carrier he has felt the desire, the need to venture into informal and conceptual painting, considered by the artist a more powerful, pungent and demanding form of expression, from an interpretative point of view. In his objectifications he exposes his mind, his thoughts, his hidden truths and with blows, gestures, his brush flies, flies beyond the infinite, beyond the universe, painting what he does not see. Personal works that forestall the states of our imaginary, of what we create. This is why Vincenzo Vavuso is definitely and remains an artist of great depth. An art scholar and author of a prestigious art book: “ La pittura: l’espressione di noi stessi” ( Painting: the expression of ourselves) and soon he will publish other volumes.
His works permanently shown at: Museo Contemporaneo at Villa Bruno, San Giorgio at Cremano ( Naples); Basilica di San Marco, Florence and Institutions.
