Biography

Salvatore Petrucino, aka Totò, born in 1979. Always fascinated by art and keen on chess, he began his pictorial journey in 2010.
After a difficult period of his life, he feels the call of art and enters a small workshop in the Pontine town where he stays there for about a year, maturing his first experiences.
He then decided to continue his adventure alone, experimenting with new painting techniques and participating in numerous exhibitions and competitions along the boot, with excellent results.
Among the most important exhibitions we mention:
2014 Galà de l'art of Montecarlo, (representing Italy in the Principality of Monaco with great success.)
2015 Romart (first edition of the International Biennial of Art and Culture)
2016 Rome Biennale 2016.
2016 First prize painting contest at the CAOS of Terni on the occasion of the second chess Open.
Some of his works are also exhibited in Venice while others are permanently present in the contemporary art gallery of Maison d'Art in Padua.

They say about him:

Each picture of Totò does not arise from a plan already studied or from indicative theoretical considerations,
after painting, we find ourselves before an irresistible call of shapes and colors that the artist impresses with energy and with light tension.
The pictorial plane is a visual reality in energetic transformation linked to the mood that he molds with refined intelligence.
For Totò, color is the life of his painting, which reveals a particular animation of expressing himself in the freedom to "communicate"
a pure stimulus to the sensitivity of those who "read" his paintings.
(Franco Borretti, art critic.)

One of his works is presented in the entity of a continuous research linked to an always constant desire for transformation.
Users immediately realize that Totò determines his art as the expression of a personal objective force,
which is expressed in an original and at the same time autonomous structure.
(Carla D'aquino Mineo, art critic.)
