Biography

Alessandro Carnevale was born in Savona in 1990. Musician and writer, from 2011 he is the Drum Course Director at T. Nicolini school of music. In December 2012 he published his first novel, called “Aurore Vernice”; his new novel, “Come Il Silenzio”, is actually publishing. In 2009 Carnevale graduated from Liceo Artistico “A. Martini”, passing the examinations with perfect score; then he moved to University of Fine Arts in Turin. Attending the Sculpture and Grafic Arts Courses, he perfected the arts of incision, sandblasted, lithography: using these skills Carnevale developed his own technique, beginning to paint on iron roofs with gouache and acrylics. The rust naturally designs on roof amazing textures: the Artist managed to control the iron oxidation to create a portrait of post industrial landscapes, where Carnevale figures discarded factories, obsolete installations, chimneys and pylons. He try to describe the “Metallic Disgrace” of industrial archeology which are broken up in total unresponsiveness: Art has a responsibility to go beyond the visible and spark emotions which could be the starting point for a new awareness.
