Biography

Giacomo Cardoni, artist born in Pesaro in 1987, in his manifold artistic works tries to “materialize”, without sinking in obviousness and banality, the concept of Humanity and to look into it defending it from the abuses and delimitations the Modern world threatens it with.
Graduated in Sociology at Urbino University and in Artistic Therapeutics at Brera Accademy, Giacomo uses the artistic research – performances, illustrations, installations and laboratories of Art Therapy – as an instrument for expanding out-and-out relational exchanges, triggered by the viewer’s sharing of creative acts.
Keen of ritualisms, discovering their patterns, re-contestualise in a contemporary contest the ritual as medium for art practices, provoking path of deep social analysis, since 2010 Giacomo – that prefers to define his artistic formation as self-taught, considering that he has never followed any technical courses – has taken part in several collective exhibitions not only in Italy but also in many space of Europe, and has cooperated to many cultural projects.
Giacomo’s wish of experiencing new ways of exchange, of relation, of work and, why not, of making art, is inexhaustible. Adotta un artista (Adopt an artist) – thanks to which everyone can become a patron of the arts and host his personal artist in his own home, commissioning works from him and helping Giacomo Cardoni to carry out his artistic investigation linked to relationship.
