Biography
Rossella Montagna was born in Milan. After having spent many years of her life in Taranto, now lives and works in Rome. Painter by vocation and natural inclination, since the childhood she devoted her life to the Art. Her artistic journey starts from afar, when just a teenager, she loved to practice with the brush, getting appreciable results, stylistic and aesthetic. At this stage of her life, she also becomes a musician, studying for some years piano, guitar, singing opera and she graduated in theory and solfeggio at the Conservatory of Lecce. Subsequently, the music is put aside, favoring the painting, which become for her a reason and a choice of life. Only recently, has resumed his piano studies and singing pop music.
The intensity with which she has always lived her life, is deeply reflected in hers works, in which the creative impulse is upheld by the core of all hers previous experiences. She doesn’t even realize to be like an open book in her varied, surreal images, providing to the recipient her same emotions and leading him to enter into hers compositions, much to imprison him for a moment in that divine ecstasy, making of him an active accomplice of her poetic fantasies.In her evolving artistic path, she receives an increasingly large success of critics and audience. She has to his credit, now in more than 20 years of career, several solo and group exhibitions and numerous appearances at festivals in several Italian and foreign cities.
Her name is included in the Official Catalog of Contemporary Italian Art and in national art magazines. Some of her works are included in important public and private collections.
