Biography
I am a German artist best known for my large-scale photographic work of unusual urban spaces. I completed my MA in photography at the Royal College of Art in London in 2005. My work has been included in various group- and solo exhibitions nationally as well as internationally. It has been reviewed in various magazines and newspapers including Art Review, The Architectural Review, The Times, The Independent, Camera Austria, Portfolio Magazine amongst others. My work has been published and discussed in various books such as Chris Townsends’s “New Art from London” by Thames & Hudson in 2006 and Judith Rugg’s “Spatialities: The Geographies of Art and Architecture” by Intellect in 2012. My first publication “Polo bound for Passaic” was published in conjunction with the New Art Gallery Walsall, Street Level Photoworks Glasgow and the Goethe Institute Glasgow in 2009.I have been the recipient of the Renaissance Art Prize in 2010, the Voigtlaender New Talent Photography Award in 2008 and the National Grid Transco Award for Fine Art in 2005.
