Biography
Fabio Ciaravella (b.1982), Umberto Daina (b.1979) and Vincenzo Fiore (b.1981) created Studio plus plus in 2006 in Florence. Studio plus plus research focuses on the formulation of a method of analysis and representation of reality in close symbiotic connection with the concepts of the ‘relationship of limit’ and ‘postponed time’. The emerging elastic imagery results being governed by a tension subtly extreme and its decay is so infinitesimally slow as to appear inexistent to distracted gaze. The intrinsic properties of materials – such as resistance and conductivity – and the very physical laws to which they are subjected, as well as the use of new technologies, are the main tools used to construct new cognitive frameworks and new captivating devices for the loss of conventional reference systems.
