Biography
Visionary and sharp witted, Kate Varrey denounces the madness of our time revealing each sinful aspect of modern life. Her art shows a threatening reaity, grotesque, sometimes fantastic but nonetheless real. She investigates the hidden aspects of human nature and of society, focusing especially on the subtler and imperceptible mechanisms of destruction, those aspects of reality that we often don't see because have now become such part of our daily life.
Printmaking, painting and photography are the three companions through which she strives to overpass the solely contemplative aspect of art, making of her visions a personal social battle.
