Biography

I wish to reaffirm the meaning of beauty, which has become maligned or obscured. My work is a minimalistic representation, communicating the relationship between the transcendental and the ordinary not available in the various dogmas of abstraction, or conventional realist styles. I intend to the Transcendentalist view that any scene is a profound mystery existing as the mundane. Using formalism, and an intuitive chromatic scale, the visually ephemeral and inconsequential, is revealed as a moment of experiential wonderment. Beauty is a Mystery, and whether by Art or by Nature, has the capacity to awaken the feeling of awe, and awe is the felt perception of the transcendental foundation of ordinary experience.
