Biography
I have painted all of my life, it seems. I taught art classes at several New England colleges, then went back to being a full time painter. My influences have been John Grillo (my teacher, an early abstract expressionist from CA), Kandinsky, Eva Hesse, Picasso. These influences show up in all my work. I paint from the inside out, using brayers, brushes, palette knives, and scrapers to achieve layered textures, both transparent and opaque.
