Biography
Alessia Locatelli was born in Milan in 1977. She collaborated in managing past editions of SiFest Festival and the Canon Award. She focuses in photography and become an Independent Curator, organizing exhibitions - in public and private locations - in Italy and abroad, while in parallel she continues her curating and consulting activity for artists and photographers. She’s signature of some photographic and artistic magazines and for “Dossier Fotografia” (ex Bolaffi) inside “CAM” a Giorgio Mondadori-Cairo Group editorial product. From 2016 she organizes professional courses to become a Photocurator in some Italian photography schools (IIF, IED) and in other independent realities. She participates as Folio Reviewer in various Italian and abroad Photo Festivals (SiFest of Savignano, Photolux of Lucca, Fotografia Europea of Reggio Emilia, Photo Fest Verzasca, CH). She’s in charge of helping and assisting the authors in the choice of Fine Art papers and in the mounting and framing materials, useful for conservation and collectors. She’s artistic director of Enrico Cattaneo’s archive and Art Director of Photographic Women Biennal festival in Mantua (IT)

-Coordination institutional-Private communication, relationships with corporations and schools and settings for the private museum “Museum of art and Science"Milan.
- 2003 to today communication-curator of Photo & Art exhibition for galleries and festivals.
I write also now for magazines of art (since 2005)
Besides I offer consultation to Artists / Photographers:
-Critical texts to photographers and artists- A little Collaboration with the Berliner magazine "Photography Now" (Oct.'06), and I write still now on the magazine " Juliet" + consultations for the MDAEvents.
- Curator of photographer Maurizio Galimberti’s personal exhibition on commission from the Nokia®
-Collaboration with Denis Curti, manager of the agency photographic Contrasto (Magnum Photographers).
-Shows with the ConCura group, patronized by the Municipality and the Province of Milan, prestigious Senago’s Villa Borromeo of (MI).
- Excellent critic and cultural market analysis, ability in writing and speaking, also in foreign languages.
-Creation of press releases, translations, of Magazine articles, catalogs and POP text Material.
