Biography

Mazzocca & Pony creates her art with her old clothes, which came from a desire to describe the whole universe without material things. From this thought comes the pseudonym Mazzocca & Pony: Mazzocca is her last name and her legacy, the contact with the real, physical world, Pony is the name of her great life suspended, invisible and immortal.
The fabrics, dutifully used and redolent of experience, are compacted with galvanized iron wire, then dipped in resin for preservation unchanged over time.
The "mondino" is like a cell or molecule from which everything came and keeps itsef in the memory of the past alive and becomes like a brick from which to restart.
The mondini are then applied to a skeleton formed with a single strand of galvanized wire to form trees of different shapes and sizes.
Each tree is, and will be, part of a unique Garden of Eden from which to draw a serene moment.

Mazzocca&Pony – Pseudonym of Luigina Mazzocca.
