Biography
Born in Livorno, a city on the Tuscan coast in 1971, she now lives in Capraia Island and Florence. She studied fine arts at the Instituto D'Arte di Porta Romana in Florence where she obtained her Degree in 1989. She then studied Architecture at the University of Florence 1990-1998. Due to the blending of those two discipline, she prefers pencil and pen drawings, and the study of composition. She developed the Technique Scarabocchi: constructing an image with a free flowing design .This eventually led her to elaborated the technique Arcaica: above, under, inside and beyond time. Arcaica is a composite technique, a fourfold process. First, the Scarabocchi technique is infused with a regular geometric design. Next, gold and transparent gelatinize compaunds are applied, colors are added and finally the composition is etched.
