The production of Matteo is characterized by the ‘”meeting/confrontation” of realistic paintings with “hyperuranion” fascinations.
He alternates classical solidity with pictorial/gestural liquefaction.
Always interested in figuration, Matteo analyzes the individual with a substantial and inquisitive painting, at times intimate, without compromising surreal-metaphysical situations and suggestions that are more or less explicit.

Recently, he accompanies his pictorial production to the realization of illustrations and comics of a taste that is ironic and detective-noir.

During spring 2015 the first adventure of the detective J.W.Wiland, character created by him in 2012, is sent to press.
The second volume of the series, entitled: “BAD” is from February 2016.

He lives and works.
