Biography
In her paintings, Kristina Málková focuses mainly on timeless themes. She depicts the world
close to her heart; her paintings include specific places and people. Kristina is inspired not
merely by the every day life, but also by the world of ideas, imagination, and perception.
Light and its effects play a crucial role in her paintings. For Kristina, light is not merely an
optical phenomenon, but also a spiritual principle, which permeates and influences landscapes,
interiors, and figures. Kristina is interested in human emotions. In her depictions of children,
she has captured the authenticity of human perception and behavior; they exude fascination
with purity and spontaneity of children.
Kristina’s artistic expression is realistic; her paintings capture the mood, as well as certain
„timelessness“, which makes her paintings universal.
