Biography

Cuccus’ paintings contain such active marks. Standing indefinitely with such a strong presence, some marks possess a certain level of autonomy separating themselves from the rest, while many others bleed and blend into each other.
At points the easing of one color into another happens so subtly it seems as if to be just a slight deviation in the light: soft, slow, and quiet. And then in other moments the transition seems to exist with more purpose, more drama, demonstrating something sharper: movement.
