Biography


Ada Impallara was born in Rome in April 1961. Currently she lives and works in Nettuno.
In 1979 she gets the diploma of maturity at the artistic Lyceum of Via Ripetta in Rome and continues her studies at the Academy of fine Arts where she gets the diploma for Decoration in 1983.
From 1983 to 1985 she works at the private Television “Teleobiettivo” where she is learning like video-operator and enriches her experiences dedicating herself to film-direction and -montage.
In the same year she begins a carrier like itinerant portraitist in Italy and Europe. Contemporaneously she is painting and takes part of various collective exhibitions around for Italy.
From 1990 to 1993 attends the painting course held by the artist Luigi Massimo Bruno at the communal Academy of San Giacomo. In these years she is studying also cultural Anthropology at the university “La Sapienza” of Rome, without ever graduating; she frequents the courses of Anthroplogy by Pietro Clemente and Luigi Maria Lombardo Satriani.
In 1994 she founds a private school, that in 2001 wood be annexed at the Cultural Association “Synkhronos”, accademia delle arti visive e musicali”. She collaborates with the Association, organizing exhibitions, seminars and workshops of painting. In this time begins her experience as exhibition-editor.
In 2003, as president of the Association Synhronos, she occupies herself actively of the project “Studi aperti” (open studies) like referent of the artists of the province of Latio.
Ada Impallara is interested above all in contemporaneous art, and much of her interests are linked at artistic education. In this field organizes painting-courses, workshops of contemporaneous art and updating-courses for teachers.
Hers artistic culture is of informal stamp, but she is always open towards experimentation, with one look at the social and the other at the cultural intensifying of artistic arguments.
Her medium is painting. Her principal interest is the evolution of the relation between work of art and observer.
