Biography

I am a storyteller, and photography is my favorite language. Each of my pictures is a contemporary little tale about human beings, their minds, surrealism, and reality.
Fiction has always played an important role in my life. I love anything that mixes reality with imagination. I knew that the milieu of fiction, the sets, and staging attracted me, but I only realized a couple of years later that my real calling is to take still photos. In addition to attending my education at the JATE University here in Hungary, where I majored in communication, I applied to Fotografus photography school, where I majored in experimental photography. Here I came across a perspective of photography that greatly appealed to my appreciation of fiction: the narrative being concentrated into one single frame, the so-called staged photography. This style of photography allowed me to finally give a name to the images I always had in my mind.
Last year at the university I decided to write my thesis in photography, my essay was called “Stills in Motion,” and it is a comparative study of photographical frame and frames of motion picture. I based my essay on the works of three photographers: Cindy Sherman, Gregory Crewdson, and Jeff Wall whose art had a great influence on me. I understood more about creating illusions, and how a scene can be choreographed for the public, so they recognize that a story is being told.
After graduating from both schools and working two years at a photo agency, looking for some more motivation I went to Mexico for a year, where I experienced working at two photo studios as an assistant and a creative thinker. Besides learning a lot about studio photography and lighting, working with a diverse group of people opened me up more culturally as well as artistically. When I returned to Hungary, I immediately started working in a feature film as a stills photographer, and since then I participated many other projects, and shoots.
Still living and workng in Hungary trying to live my life according to my favorite quote:" I believe that imagination is not the opposite of reality."
