Biography
Born in Sardinia (Italy) from a traditional sardinian family who lived the second world war. Parents gets their son at almost fifty years old. An authoritarian father, humanist and the mother, more relaxed with a scientific culture, both teachers in the middle schools.
He studied at the University of Genoa during the ascent of the government of Berlusconi.
He participates and he got impressed by the protests and clashes during the G8 in Genoa.
During the studies Pirastru tries several times to participates in some political activities, but without succeeding, also for the difficulties to met new friends in Genoa.
Once finished the university he finds job in Sardinia through some friends in a dental surgery for indefinitely. Even if in Italy, with the crisis to the doors, have got a fixed place means have stability, without worry about money, Pirastru was not one who put aside ideas and hopes for the future.
So pushed by an impassioning search of the liberty of expression, against the blackmails of the society, the fixed place, the mechanisms of market and a strong pressure from his own parents he decides to quit Italy disappointed for the cultural decadence, lack of perspectives and the generalized apathy.
From this moment Pirastru interests him self to art, and to the personal creativeness. He begins to write to try to make theatre, photography, to looking for alternative expression ways until to land to the painting.
He has traveled in many European countries and lived for some months in Spain two years in Provence up to stay where he actually live and works to Freiburg in the south of Germany.
