Biography
My paintings negotiate the heterogeneous language of symbolisms and signs which saturate and pervade our lives.
I explore dissonant relationships through associations and miscellaneous visual content. These tendencies instill a sense of confusion and detachment which I seek to distort through a multiplicity of various visual codes.
Within my paintings I am exploring the blurring of boundaries between anachronistic modes of painting. I often synthesize the dialectic nature of abstraction and figuration; compounding these elements to form subtle nuances and tensions, I explore visual perception through investigations of colour, forms and recognition, emphasizing and amplifying qualities that seduce and captivate the gaze.
