Biography
Massimo Taccon (b. May 19, 1967 - Rome) is an Italian painter, sculptor and writer. He is the the founder, thinker and theoretician of the art movement called with the name of Critical Meditavism. From 1997 to 2002 he has signed his artworks with the pseudonym of ISMAHEL (Ismahel period). His works are in corporate and public collections, included the permanent collection of the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, the White Helmets Europe Foundation and The Church of Ceri in Italy.
Massimo Taccon has written and published two books. The work of the artist is listed in the Department of Painting and Sculpture of the "Museum of Modern Art" (MoMA - New York, USA) and in Archivio Storico Fondazione Quadriennale di Roma (ArBiQ).
