Biography
Margherita Levo Rosenberg (born Ponti-AL 1958)
Psychiatrist and art-therapist, she has painted since she was a teen-ager.
Since the early ‘90s, practicing art has become a key element in her life, while acquiring more personal awareness by means of psychological research on creativity, psychotherapy training and practice through visual language.
In 1992, she founded the Pandeia Group, beginning to develop her style along with her cognitive progress, as an expression of on-going thought processes, irrespective of the formal outcome of her artwork.
Since 1996, she has been a member of Istituto per le Materie e le Forme Inconsapevoli – Museattivo Claudio Costa, where she is in charge of the project on “artism”. She has curated many exhibitions, while conducting more in-depth investigations and research on creativity and psychotherapy applications of visual language. She reported on these issues at conferences and meetings and contributed with articles on scientific magazines.
Her work “of likely post-pop-conceptual origin, is based on principles of ironic translation, of transference between meaning and signifier (V. Conti)”, and is focused on material and formal research.
Since 1992, her works have been on display in public and private spaces both in Italy and abroad.
Her works are held by private collections and museums.
She lives and works in Genoa.
