Biography
In 1995 she graduated from High School of Art in Kielce, in Poland, specializing in Tapestry and Artistic Fabrics.
In 2002 she graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the Nicola Copernicus University of Torun, Poland, specializing in Conservation and Restoration of Paintings and Polychrome sculptures.
During her studies, she also attended drawings and contemporary painting courses, besides many workshops on early artistic techniques.
“For many years, I committed myself to the work of restoration, I left my creative vein and my artistic trait on the side; and I used to do only copies of famous artists’ works.
In 2010 I felt the need to resume my creative path.
I started from female portraits (Vintage Beauty series) and from urban sights that link the past to the present, so typical of Italy (Urban Spaces series).
Coming from a different environment and life, I was fascinated by Italian people in particular, for their attitude, way to live, everyday life; in these things I’ve found the topic that deeply involved me (The Snapshot of Daily Life series).
I like to represent how people meet each other; I’m inspired by the small natural gestures that often pass unnoticed, maybe we don’t notice them at all, but I try to stop them in a canvas. I would like to record those flying off moments when people uncover their souls.
I observe them and I paint their breaks from daily routine, when one is him/herself, eliminates all barriers of communication and looks for a dialogue with others.
I’m constantly searching for new inspirations, new incentives and new artistic challenges: I don’t think that a style could ever be final.
My next goal is to do a personal exhibition to present my unrolling path as a painter.”
