Biography
The works are reflection around Memory as a part of an interior and unexploring world.The origin and the evolution of a rational thought are tied with the emotional and passional sphere. The idea of a man between sky and hearth, emotion and life, the family as a first stop of a long way, without any possibility to go back.The themes show the evident and repressive obsession, the fear, and the research of balance.The heaviness lining on object, words and place; the possibility to find an empathies using sounds, photo, object without any presumption to explain o describing something.The music, the words as vibrations are meant integral part of Cosmo and nature.The artist tries to be overwhelmed by the events, whatever they are, with the goal and the strength to refund the way in the labyrinth of the Memory.She hope that in the works people may discover unexpectedly something of there owns that deeply belongs to them even if they didn’t remember anymore.Cristina Papi has a Bachelor’s Degree at DAMS and a Diploma in Piano from the Conservatory of Florence. She studied in Paris and Edinburgh theatre and cinema.Her contemporary works, alternate between music and performance/installation. She performed 365Steps at NittoGallery, Noto.At Fucine Tillanza in Pistoia, sound-installation Je Me Souviens. At Ten Artists for Peace in Arezzo video-installation Memoire. Summer Festival the installation Satin and at Networking the video Luminitza.One show video-installation La Calle de la Mariposa at Vera-Petra-Serena,Florence.At Traccie Fuoricentro Livorno the performance Affera Sospesa.Performance L’Espoir in CreArt Crespina.With A.Ferrara she performed at the Teatro Studio di Scandicci, Ofelie, Living Score Performance. One show Cage Ouverte at Stromboli and AlchiMy in the Architectural Workshop in Florence.At The voice of the Body in Milano she performed As a new Woman. One show Memento 2013 at AOC Via Flaminia 58 Galleria Bruno Lisi Roma.She lives in Florence, Palermo and Paris.
