Biography
I am a product of the third world enticed by the arrogant dream of the first. I am obsessed with the media, pornography, celebrity culture, fame, religion, selfishness, gluttony, material ambition, and their intricate relationship as the inherent definition of modern bourgeois society.
As a self-taught artist, my work examines my own assimilation of this definition - both as a willing participant and vocal critic - encountering my own aspirations to succeed as an artist in a circle outside of my “class”.
My work is intimate and emotional with no inhibitions. By this, I aspire to make the spectator think in self-reflection; I believe that art is a powerful communication tool that must have a piercingly direct exchange of thoughts – an open conversation - with the viewer.
