Biography

Essentially, the work defined its own logic and became more a perception instead of a visual statement. There are few words that are comprehensible in a way of trying to explain my work, for instance if I am to call it hyper sub atomic realism, or say this is the space between us, or what is in the tiger's mind, most would qualify the descriptions as incomprehensible nonsense. So it is hard to really try to convey in words an explanation. I did notice recently, that perhaps they are also vortexes of time and space in the works.

The reality is, I am only interested in the beauty, and the relic like quality these paintings have. The true objective of encrusted jewel like forms unto canvas evoke shamanic, ethereal and mystic qualities I search for in art.

The images for the most part are easy to paint, I approach them as if they already are here, just not visible yet . This approach gives me the confidence I need to act boldly and without hesitation in the work.

There are extra dimensional effects that happen while I paint, but for the most part the only real factor that is important for me is the actual act of painting. The expression, and the final release of the canvas from the brush all teach me patience, exploration, and understanding of form in balance to space.

I believe painting develops a spatial and temporal relationship with the painter, it allows for an expression of dynamic energy.
