Biography

My research and artistic practice involves experiments on the intersection of Art and Technology as well as educational projects that involve innovative use of technology. I am particularly interested in interactivity, mainly in camera as an interface, and Real-Time 3D as a medium for artistic communication.

Bio:
Born and raised in Poland, Przemyslaw J. Moskal (a.k.a. PJ Moskal) moved to the U.S. in 1990. In 2003 he graduated with Master of Professional Studies degree from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University and began his career as new media artist and consultant for a variety of non-profit and commercial projects. In 2011 he earned his PhD in Film Art from The Cinematography and Television Production Department at The Leon Schiller National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Lodz, Poland under the supervision of Prof. Stanislaw Szymanski. Currently, he holds a position of an Assistant Professor at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY in the Digital Media Arts Program, Communication Studies Department. His interactive, digital art works, which are both screen based and installations have been recognized and exhibited internationally at many digital media arts festivals and galleries.
