Biography
My research started off with an analysis of the subjects of solitude and abandonment. These are feelings that are universally distributed and that wound one’s spirit leaving rather deep scars. This period which I have called “SOUL WOUNDS” is characterized by the urgency of the the emotions and feelings that drive and condition the creative act.
My attention then moved from the wounds of the soul to the wounds of the body, received as a conseguence of a surgical attempt to cure the ailment. Art and surgery interact, it's the “SURGERY ART”.
I work on images and materials from the medical world. Very often this material impresses the viewer with its hardness but at the same time it excites his curiosity and forces him to think about essential questions that have always obsessed humanity: life, death, illness and pain.
I have now felt the need to seek a greater refinement and formal balance of the artistic product. The emotions lie dormant and compose themself in a creative act which produces a more mature formal research.
I now seek more aesthetically serene images in the medical world which I interlace with works on nature. Human body and roses...”SURGERY AND ROSES".
