Biography

I'm an italian freelance photographer based in Brescia, a city situated in the north of Italy, about 100 kilometres east of Milan. Photography has always been a special part of my life and I think nothing communicates as strongly as images. I love Rock'n'roll, the '50s, noir and horror movies, and the Japanese culture. My favourite subjects are human beings though, and I often take photographs of myself. Self-portraits are the key to learn something more about me, through my eyes and body; something that I didn't know or didn't want to see. The aim of my work is trying to catch souls, trying to reach a concept of Beauty which can be seen from different points of view but certainly in a non-conventional way. Someone once said: "Beauty and the devil are the same thing". The artists I like the most are: Jan Saudek, Bettina Rheims, Tim Walker, Andres Serrano, Izima Kaoru, Francisca Woodman, Robert Mapplethorpe, Kevin Then, Bruno Dayan, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, among many others.
