Biography

BETO born in 1978,

he has developed his research around the relationship between Man and Nature - as balanced between possession and belonging, Philosophy and Science. Rather than conveying explicit messages, he instead goes for provocation, zeroing in and freeze-framing moments, situations and phenomena, sometimes by objectifying them, sometimes by placing them in equilibrium between chaos, logic, instinct, calculation, naturalness, artifice and ambiguity – always seeking a short-circuit by means of dissonant informations, unusual mixes, and juxtapositions of impossible elements.

He sees in language a means of expression whose limits can be overcome by art. His production does not convey any message, is impervious to univocal interpretation, and is put forward as phenomenon that generates other phenomena - as emotional, mental and physical reactions.

He makes problematic that which appears obvious.
