Biography
Ilaria begun her career as a photographer after her studies in visual arts, and the previous experience as a painter has deeply influenced the colour and composition in her photographic work.
From 2004 to 2007 she studied photography in Florence at Fondazione Studio Marangoni, where she had the opportunity of taking part in several workshop with well-known photographers and artists, among which were Paolo Woods, Mario Cresci, Guido Guidi, Paolo Verzone, Martin Breindl and Edward Rozzo.
In summer 2007 she was selected as a competition finalist by ITS –International Talent Support- at its sixth edition in Trieste, where she met Angelo Caroli, owner of A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Palace, who commissioned her a series of portrait to shoot at Vintage Selection fair in winter and summer 2008 culminating in a solo exhibition at Stazione Leopolda in winter 2009.
In 2008 she was among the young artists selected for the international art prize Arteingenua, earning the chance to exhibit in Brescia and Milan.
From 2005 till now her work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions in Florence, Milan, Trieste, Brescia and Pescara.
She moved to London in September 2008 to gain her MA in Fashion Photography at London College of Fashion, and she is now looking for collaborations and opportunities within the field.
Since January 2010 she is founder and editor in chief of the online magazine ALILA MAG.
