The glass sculptures capture the sky, are connected with the earth and dominate fire. She belongs to the water. The identifying element of her work and her spirit being water, her very thoughts are Water thoughts.
To describe the place where Nives Marcassoli lives and works is to perceive forms, to feel one with Nature, engraved in one's memory, an emotion, is to tell of a stirring event, at times ironic.
There, where the river flows, where the grass is born over graves, the “cra cra” of the tree frogs is heard.
It is a hymn to Nature that feeds off the sense of light, which transfigures form, encloses light, letting it filter through its glassy mass and keeps it within, for itself. The effects of this wise alchemy are extraordinary. They enclose all of the molecules and reflections, locked as in a treasure chest, in a glass prism that restores purity
