Biography

Eleonora Rossi, born in Milan in 1976, works in Milan. She studied at the
Brera Academy of Art and began working in Milan, exhibiting in both
collective and solo exhibitions. She initially worked in the medium of
painting, using both acrylic spray-paint and bitumen but soon explored
both photography and video installations as well. With Video and
photography Eleanora was showing the relationship, in it's many forms,
between the disturbance, instability and uncertainty of contemporary
living. In recent years she has exhibited in Italy and abroad (Europe, USA and Africa) and particularly last year she did a series of exhibitions in Italy and abroad including: the participation to Scope Miami, Art Paris, a solo exhibition at the Joao Ferreira Gallery in Cape Town and at the Louise Alexander Gallery in Paris, the collective “Appetite for Destruction” - National Museum of Villa Guinigi, Lucca, and the presentation of two video installations at the “Sounds and Visions Festival”in Lucca, a extralarge canvas at SuperstudioPiù in Milano and the participation at the video festival “PenisolaPixel. Italian video artists of the last generation” at the L.u.C.C.A Museum in Lucca.
