Biography

There is something in my painting of unusually familiar even if at the same time mysterious. These presences that appear unexpectedly wander floating in the absolute void of color, solitary aware. Sometimes strange, sometimes receptive, or shy and embarrassed, they are always appearances that fill the vacuum of space around with their essence rather than with their physical consistency. Figures refer us to a distant imagination, even childish, gelatinous, chewy and colorful, but also a more mature condition, biological or cosmic.
My intention is to give freedom of interpretation allowing the viewer to remove rational thought in favor of its sensory and emotional dimension. Each painting tells a story really. it comes to graphics transpositions of particular psychological and emotional conditions that are always different but common to every human being. Each sign becomes a symbol, every bulge, every part hard or soft, each suction cup, sting or protuberance intended to express and relate these conditions, sharing with the observer the energy of the moment that caused them.
