Biography

Italian artist Roberto Paci Dalò belongs to the innovative exponents of the European contemporary arts scene with projects created in music, radio, performing arts, visual arts and film. His work has won him international admiration from among the others, John Cage and Aleksandr Sokurov. He has been recipient of the Berlin DAAD Fellowship. Founder and director of the performing arts group Giardini Pensili. Director of Velvet Factory - space for the arts (Rimini, Italy). He's co-founder and member of Alluro band and member of the Internationale Heiner Müller Gesellschaft. Collaborations include: Alvin Curran, Kronos Quartet, Terry Riley, Philip Jeck, Scanner, Maurizio Cattelan, Mouse on Mars a.o. His projects have been presented in such venues as Kunsthalle Wien, Locarno Film Festival, Venice Biennale, Fundaciò Joan Mirò Barcelona, Wien Modern, Ars Electronica Linz, Charlottenborg Copenhagen, ZKM Karlsruhe, Bienal de Radio México, SKIF St. Petersburg, MaerzMusik/Berliner Festspiele, Vienna Opera House, a.o. His work can be seen on permanent display in the Museo Nitsch Napoli (Nitschland Napoli). Presentations in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Canada, USA, México, South America. Roberto lives in Rimini and Berlin.
