Biography
My drawings and objects are part of a series referring to a future where the human capacity for flight has been forgotten: plane wreckage falls from the sky after fifty years; enigmatic objects are found littering the earth; the cockpit becomes a riddle of dials impervious to interpretation.
I use a vocabulary of motifs: plane; bunker; tower; clearing; sky; sphere with materials that carry a weight of meaning such as ash, gold, lead, beeswax and salt. The work refers to a mythical time, de-stabilising the viewer and giving access to older cosmologies of memory and place.
