Biography
I was born in Port Louis, Mauritius, but my parents got a contract to teach in a rural town called Maun, in Botswana. I grew up there for the first sixteen years of my life. I am the middle born with a younger and older brother. We never lived in any home for more than ten years. In Maun itself we(my brothers too) moved three times and also changed primary school a lot, even though there were only 2 in the town at that time. Then my family moved to Mauritius and lived there for a year and a half and finally came here to the USA (in 2004).
Within these time frames of my life I realized that the camera was my my best friend. It allows me to share what beautiful things I came across. I am in a History of Photography class and it is opening my eyes to other ways of manipulating a subject. I am grateful that I have experienced different cultures. Not everyone will have the same view I have about life and that makes me unique. I hope I can express myself here and I hope you can feel my expressions. Thank you.
